This adapter is made to 577/450 CIP specifications dated May 15 2002

This adapter allows your Martini Henry breech load rifle to shoot 9MM Luger ammunition.  This adapter is precision machined from high quality stainless steel to the OD specifications of a 577/450 cartridge.  It will easily fit into your breech load Martini Henry barrel and accept any 9MM Luger ammunition.  After firing simply remove the adapter and tip upside down to remove the spent shell.  This adapter has a smooth bore to allow the 9MM bullet a clean path to exit the adapter and enter the barrel.  The cartridge side is precision CNC machined to the exact chamber dimensions to accept any 9MM Luger ammunition (SAAMI chamber specifications). The 9MM bullet is smaller than the standard sized bullet the Martini Henry uses and the 9mm bullet will travel down the middle of the barrel not engaging the rifling.

Adapter orientation is not important and the adapter will work in any position.

No modification to the firearm is required, the adapter easily drops in and ejects like a normally fired shell.

These adapters have been tested for fit and function in an 1875 Martin Henry MKII and they worked perfectly!  Please realize the the Martini Henry rifles were made a long time ago and there may be slight variations in chamber sizes.  These adapters are made to current specs but have successfully been tested in the 1875 MKII we have access to.
