This adapter gives your 45 Colt single or double action revolver the ability to fire .22 caliber ammunition.  This adapter is precision machined from high quality stainless steel to the OD  specifications of  a 45 Colt cartridge.  It will easily fit into your revolvers cylinder and accept any .22LR, .22 Long or .22 Short ammunition.  After firing simply remove the adapter and tip upside down to remove the spent 22 shell.  A smooth bore is gently  bored through the adapter for the bullet  (no rifling).  The adapter is precision CNC machined to the exact  cartridge dimensions of a 45 COLT cartridge (SAAMI specifications).   This adapter is not machined to fire .22 Magnum ammunition.

Adapter orientation is not important and the adapter will  work in any position.
