This adapter gives your Thompson Center Contender or Contender G2 firearm chambered in .223 Remington the ability to fire .22LR ammunition.  This adapter will not work with other platforms such at AR style firearms. The adapters are precision machined from high quality stainless steel to the OD specifications of a .223 Remington case.  It will easily fit into your TC Contender and accept any .22 long rifle ammunition.  After firing simply remove the adapter and tip upside down to remove the spent 22 shell.  A smooth bore is gently bored through the adapter for the bullet (no rifling).  The .22 cartridge chamber side is precision CNC machined to the exact chamber dimensions to accept .22lr ammunition (SAAMI chamber specifications). Our adapter has a unique (to us only) design with additional space around the .22 rim which allows more clearance for the firing in, thus reducing any potential damage to the firing pin in hitting the adapter. 

With your TC Contender, use your .223 barrel and select your rim fire firing pin to use this adapter. Will also work with Thompson Center Encore firearms that have the rimfire firing pin conversion installed.

Every adapter is laser engraved for easy caliber conversion identification.

Adapter orientation is not important and the adapter will work in any position.

Will fit any TC Contender and Contender G2 break open action rifle - will not work in semi automatics and any AR style platforms. Hand load the adapter into the barrel chamber and close the breech to use this adapter.
